I count myself singularly fortunate to have contacted Mark Dawson of MCD Plumbing & Heating in Redditch before embarking upon the boiler upgrade/replacement and other supplemental heating system modification works that I was looking to have carried out at my home. A clear outline/understanding of the scope and extent of the work required was readily agreed (after discussing survey observations; confirming that current Gas Safe Registration, Trade Memberships and Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer status/registrations were in place; confirming the quality of the equipment and their associated warranties that would be provided, etc.), together with the establishment of an outline programme of work and a total works fixed price (including VAT). All of which were clearly set out from the outset, thereby giving me considerable confidence that I was proceeding with the right specialist contractor. My new energy efficient Worcester Bosch hydrogen-mix ready gas boiler installed into the 1st floor airing cupboard provided me with the best of all options, including a 12-year warranty on the Worcester Bosch Greenstar boiler due to the scope of work specified (including power flushing, magnetic filter, system dosing, replacement TRV’s on all radiators etc.) The noisy, inadequate-pressure shower pump that had previously served the property was stripped out as the new boiler replaced the need for a separate shower pump; a chrome towel rail was supplied & installed to replace an old radiator in the ensuite bathroom; and other system issues were agreed. The entire project was carried out by Mark Dawson & his team of skilled plumbers, heating/gas engineers & associated trades with Mark himself attending each day, keeping me informed and maintaining a watchful eye on all aspects of the work, with particular emphasis on the work outline, installation standards, materials quality, customer communication/care and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. Carpet film protector was installed at the outset throughout the house in all areas that would be affected by the work, and Mark was always happy to provide sound advice with pragmatic guidance and discus system options when required. His attention to detail during installation right up to handover, including the testing, commissioning and setting to work phases of the project, was outstanding, As a result of my recent contract experience with MCD Plumbing and Heating I have no hesitation in strongly recommending their services as they provide an exceptional level of project management, timely performance, installation quality, level of customer care/satisfaction at a truly competitive, value for money price.
