We love October Half Term in the West Midlands because there is always lots of super fun Autumnal events going on, along with the usual half term activities! This year Halloween falls right in the middle of Half Term so why not check out our Halloween Inspiration blog for some ideas to keep the kids busy too!

Holiday Clubs and Events Throughout October Half Term in the West Midlands

ART Excel Birmingham | Hall Green

From Thursday 31st Oct - Sunday 3rd November, 9am - 12pm. ART Excel is dynamic, youth empowerment program for ages 8-12. The course has been taught worldwide having shown amazing benefits for children such as focus, confidence, emotional stability and feeling connected with friends and family.

Pumpkin Parlour at Becketts Farm | Wythall

Join the Becketts Farm witches in their Pumpkin Parlour over the October half term holiday for a ghoulish gathering of pumpkin carving at Becketts Farm! £2 entry per child.

Bat Trails | Sandwell Valley RSPB reserve

Take a walk around the reserve, find the answers to our ghoulish quiz and receive a prize for creeping out all our clues. Suitable for children aged between 5 and 12 years.

There’s trouble afoot in our canalside village this half term. Stay vigilant and help our police constable track down a vile villian who has been causing mischief in the village. Take on our trail using your detective skills to help solve a Black Country crime wave at The Black Country Museum.

Trick or treat along the Black Country Living Museum’s gas lit cobbled streets and experience thrilling street entertainment from circus performers, fire-jugglers, magicians, a ‘monstrous’ mine and more!

Monday 28th October 2019

Halloween Lanterns | Kingsbury Water Park

Transform willow and hazel sticks cut from the park into spooky lanterns by adding tissue paper and lots of glue. They cast an eerie light, perfect for Halloween. An indoor event, suitable for children age 6 and above.

Halloween Craft Party | Curdworth

Curdworth Church Hall 10:30am - 12:00pm or 1:30pm - 3pm, booking essential. A selection of halloween themed activities and crafts, including slime making, pottery painting, ghost rock hunt, spooky tea light jars and other crafts. Book tickets here.

Halloweenie's Party | Bromsgrove

Bornheath Village Community Centre will have lots of creepy crafts for the children to try including making their own witch or wizard hat, some mummy making mischief and pumpkin decorating. Cauldrons of slime will be waiting for icky sticky fingers to mix up a Halloween mess and lots of other exciting and out-of-the-ordinary opportunities for your little one to be explore the years spookiest celebrations.

Trick or Treat! | West Bromwich

Eddie Catz are hosting a spooktacular slime making 2 hour drop off workshop at Mothercare in Solihull. A 2 hour drop off session for 4-8 year olds, starting with a play in the softplay and making gooey slimey goopy slime with a Halloween twist. Fancy dress welcome.

Build a den out of natural materials and then cook your own toffee apple over the camp fire. Suitable for children aged 5 and above
