How do we check our listed trades?

  • Identity and business checks – we may check identity, credit report information, CCJs and bankruptcy records where required.
  • Customer references – we may speak to recent customers to understand their experience with the trader’s workmanship, reliability and punctuality.
  • Public Liability insurance – we request evidence of suitable insurance before approval.
  • Trade qualifications and associations – we check relevant trade registrations or memberships where they apply, such as Gas Safe or NICEIC.
